About Jarrow Hall

Jarrow Hall is an Anglo-Saxon farm, village and museum set across eleven acres at Church Bank in Jarrow, telling the story of the Venerable Bede and the Northumbrian world he wrote in. The site brings together the Bede Museum, a reconstructed Anglo-Saxon settlement, a living-history farm with rare-breed and rescued animals and a Georgian manor house with a coffee shop on its ground floor. An Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, it runs school programmes, family activities and a calendar of events through the year, and general admission works as an annual pass.

Less widely known locally is that the Hall hires out space for business and private events, with an in-house events team and free parking. Its largest room is the Conference Room in the Bede Museum, which seats around a hundred theatre style or eighty cabaret style, with day-delegate and half- and full-day room hire rates for a minimum of twenty people and catering available through the Hive Coffee Company. Sitting about three miles from Hebburn and close to the A19, it is a genuinely distinctive local alternative to a hotel function suite for a conference, an away day or a daytime celebration.
