Wellness Weekends: Clay Motifs Craft and Slow Looking at South Shields Museum
A free half-term Saturday of drop-in clay crafts and a mindful Slow Looking session around Pierre Mignard's National Gallery portrait.
About This Event
On the first Saturday of half term, the museum's drop-in Open Studio craft session (11.30am to 3pm in the learning room) is Clay Motifs, using clay and sequins to make sea life or a mythological creature inspired by Pierre Mignard's The Marquise de Seignelay, on loan from the National Gallery until 7 November. Families are welcome and no booking is needed. At 10.20am there is also a free 30-minute Slow Looking session in front of the painting, followed by sensory activities, with ten places that must be booked in advance.
