About This Event
Local Heroes is running the Saturday market in Market Place, beside the entrance to The Word at the top of King Street, as a pilot through to December 2026, with independent traders and local producers. It is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, dogs are welcome, and it is about five minutes' walk from South Shields Metro and the Ferry Terminal, with three hours' free parking at Mill Dam.
