Hankinson Optometrists is an independent opticians on Station Road in Hebburn town centre, run by optometrist Rebecca Hankinson, who has more than 25 years of experience and trained at City University London and St Paul's Eye Hospital in Liverpool before returning to the North East to own the Hebburn practice. The practice offers comprehensive NHS and private eye examinations using up-to-date diagnostic technology, alongside a range of spectacles and contact lenses. As well as its in-practice service, it provides home visits to housebound patients across South Tyneside and Gateshead, extending eye care to those who cannot easily get to the high street.
